American tenor Russell Thomas makes his role debut as Verdi’s Otello on Oct. 7 and 10 at the Atlanta Symphony. The performances, conducted by music director Robert Spano, mark a return for Thomas, who was the Symphony’s first artist-in-residence during its 2014–15 season. After Atlanta, the tenor makes his way to the Met, taking over the role of Rodolfo in October and November performances of Bohème.
